Jeroen Echelpoels
Born and raised on a small farm in the middle of nowhere, one might find it odd that this one ended up on the cutting edge of technology, making digital computer wizardry effects.
At the cusp of adulthood, I decided not to follow in the footsteps of my forefathers and instead attended Art School in Limburg. But even there, my creative needs were not fulfilled, there was noone there, able to teach me the art of visual effects.

The only person who could help me was myself. I chose the hard path and learned VFX from scratch, armed with only internet tutorials and a farmer’s work ethic.
Having no real teachers but myself, I had one advantage: There was no one to tell me something was impossible. There was only the stuff I knew, the stuff I did not know yet, and me, pushing the line between those ever further.
I finished my master's degree in film and started working for anyone who could use my skills. In the end, I did find the people I was looking for all along, the other VFX artists, the ones I wanted to learn from. But having made the long trek up the mountain myself, I was greeted not as a student, but as an equal.
Anyways, that was me trying to make my backstory sound real epic, but I am in fact a pretty down-to-earth dude, I just wanna make things go boom and pew pew.
